If you could send a message to the world, what would you say?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 03, 2007:
That we must take the responsibility of Paying It Forward in all aspects of what we do and how we live. We must pay ahead for the generations to come, those as yet unborn and those growing up in this big, bold world. The optimist will plant the acorn, not for himself, but for his children's children, so that they may rest in its shade and clamber from limb to limb. Our paying it forward now will make it that easier for the next generation to do likewise, then easier and easier for those to follow. I am responsible for this litle one's well being, even though she is not mine, nor will I be around as she enters the age I have attained. This is my duty, to pay it forward.

This is a lovely, tender photo, but the one of you with one of the girls was very sweet too–where’d it go?
I like the composition on this one better, and that little Jackie is in wonderful color while the world around her is in black and white. Plus, I am still not that comfortable with photos of myself out there for all the world to see. Old issues, go figure.
I know what you mean. There's something very vulnerable about putting yourself out there in that way—there may be other issues for you along with that, but I feel that too.
